British and American newspapers occupied their pages yesterday with the decision of billionaire Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez to purchase two luxurious villas on a Saudi island on the western coast of the Red Sea.
The Daily Mail reported that Ronaldo, whose fortune is estimated at $1.04 billion, bought two villas in the Ritz Carlton residential resort on Nguema Island, which is about 26 kilometers from the Saudi coast. It can only be accessed by boat or seaplane. It was noted that one of the villas has 3 bedrooms, while the other consists of 2 bedrooms.
The Daily Mail added that Ronaldo and Rodriguez are among the first buyers in this charming, tranquil resort, where privacy is impossible to breach. It pointed out that they are considering the possibility of purchasing more properties in that location. It explained that prices there start at 15.5 million riyals for a villa. The number of villas on that Saudi island does not exceed 19 private villas, designed in the latest global style.
Ronaldo told the Daily Mail: “From the moment I visited this island with Georgina, I felt a strong connection pulling me to this island and its natural beauty. It’s a place where we feel peace and security. Now that we have a home here, we will enjoy our time there with family.” Ronaldo and his fiancée have two daughters, Alana (7 years old) and Bella (2 years old).
