Tunisian artist Saber Rebai has released his latest musical work “Tayer” on digital platforms and “YouTube,” just days after the controversy sparked by his statements about the possibility of retiring from singing in the coming years, as part of a plan to gradually release songs from his new album.
Details of His New Song
The song “Tayer” features lyrics by Salah Beloul, music by Ahmed Barakat, and distribution by Zahir Dib, while the music video was directed by Bassam Turk, who filmed it in Dubai with a modern visual concept that aligns with the song’s atmosphere.
“Tayer” follows the success of the song “Taht Al-Yasmeen,” the first song from his album, which has surpassed 5 million views and topped the most circulated lists in Tunisia and several Arab countries.
Intensive Artistic Activity
In a related context, Saber Rebai continues to prepare for the release of the remaining songs from his new album during the summer season of 2026, which includes eight diverse musical works, through which he presents different musical experiences, as part of a plan to release the songs sequentially to his audience across the Arab world.
Controversy Over Retirement
Saber Rebai sparked widespread controversy after announcing his intention to retire from singing within a period of 3 to 5 years, confirming that he prefers to end his artistic career while he is still able to deliver the level his audience is accustomed to.
He clarified in previous television statements that his decision comes in order to preserve his artistic history, indicating that he does not wish to continue until his ability to give declines, affirming that retiring at the right time is better than remaining in the artistic scene without delivering the expected level.
