The Egyptian artist Yasmin Abdel Aziz mocked producer Ahmed El Sobky’s praise for her new film “Khaly Balak Men Nafsak,” which stars her alongside actor Ahmed El Sakka, recalling his lack of enthusiasm for the film before its release in theaters, in a comment that carried a sarcastic reproach regarding his celebration of the film’s success and box office earnings after its screening.
The incident began during Ahmed El Sobky’s appearance on the podcast “Conversations with Abbas,” hosted by artist Abbas Abu Al Hassan, where he praised the film’s ability to achieve widespread popularity in Egypt and several Arab markets, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Gulf countries.
During the interview, El Sobky said: “The film is working everywhere like Yasmin Abdel Aziz’s film; it has worked in Egypt and in the Gulf, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait… this film has covered a lot,” referring to the results the film achieved both inside and outside Egypt.

The Egyptian artist’s comment carried a sarcastic tone, as she compared El Sobky’s lack of enthusiasm for the film before its release to his praise after it achieved box office success and popularity, which sparked interaction among her followers.
