وزير الثقافة يصدر قراراً بتكليف الدكتور محمد بن حسن علوان رئيساً لجامعة الرياض للفنون – أخبار السعودية

أصدر وزير الثقافة الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان، قراراً بتكليف الدكتور محمد بن حسن علوان رئيساً لجامعة الرياض للفنون.
وكان الدكتور محمد حسن علوان قد عُيّن رئيساً تنفيذياً لهيئة المسرح والفنون الأدائية في نوفمبر 2024، بعد أن تولّى منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة خلال الفترة من 2020 إلى 2024، وهو حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه في إدارة الأعمال الدولية من جامعة كارلتون في كندا، وماجستير إدارة الأعمال من جامعة بورتلاند في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وبكالوريوس نظم معلومات الحاسب من جامعة الملك سعود.
وسيتولى الدكتور علوان، قيادة المرحلة القادمة والإشراف على جاهزيتها الأكاديمية والتشغيلية؛ بما يعزز دورها في تطوير التعليم العالي المتخصص في الفنون والثقافة والصناعات الإبداعية في المملكة، والإشراف على إطلاق البرامج الأكاديمية وتطوير الشراكات التعليمية والقطاعية، بما يسهم في إعداد كوادر سعودية مؤهلة في مختلف المجالات الفنية.
وتستقبل جامعة الرياض للفنون أول دفعة من طلابها في مجموعة من البرامج الأكاديمية المتخصصة، التي تشمل المسرح والفنون الأدائية والموسيقى والأفلام والإدارة الثقافية، حيث يجمع نموذجها التعليمي بين الدراسة الأكاديمية والتطبيق العملي؛ بهدف تنمية المواهب السعودية وإعداد خريجين يسهمون في دعم القطاع الثقافي والإبداعي المتنامي في المملكة.
وتعد الجامعة إحدى مبادرات وزارة الثقافة الرامية إلى تعزيز التعليم العالي المتخصص في الفنون والثقافة، وتوسيع فرص الدراسة الأكاديمية في المجالات الإبداعية، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 في تنمية الكفاءات الوطنية وترسيخ مكانة الثقافة والفنون بوصفها أحد المحركات الرئيسة للتنمية الوطنية.

The Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, has issued a decision appointing Dr. Mohammed bin Hassan Alwan as the President of Riyadh University of Arts.
Dr. Mohammed Hassan Alwan was appointed as the Executive Director of the Theater and Performing Arts Authority in November 2024, after serving as the Executive Director of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Authority from 2020 to 2024. He holds a PhD in International Business Administration from Carleton University in Canada, an MBA from Portland State University in the United States, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from King Saud University.
Dr. Alwan will lead the upcoming phase and oversee its academic and operational readiness, enhancing its role in developing higher education specialized in arts, culture, and creative industries in the Kingdom, as well as supervising the launch of academic programs and developing educational and sectoral partnerships, contributing to the preparation of qualified Saudi cadres in various artistic fields.
Riyadh University of Arts will welcome its first cohort of students in a range of specialized academic programs, including theater, performing arts, music, film, and cultural management, where its educational model combines academic study with practical application; aiming to nurture Saudi talents and prepare graduates who contribute to supporting the growing cultural and creative sector in the Kingdom.
The university is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Culture aimed at enhancing higher education specialized in arts and culture, and expanding opportunities for academic study in creative fields, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop national competencies and establish the position of culture and arts as one of the main drivers of national development.
