أكد المهندس محمد شاهين، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة شنايدر إلكتريك في المملكة العربية السعودية وباكستان واليمن والبحرين، أن الشركة تواصل تعزيز استثماراتها وقدراتها التصنيعية والهندسية في المملكة، مستفيدة من النمو المتسارع في قطاعات الطاقة والبنية التحتية والمباني الذكية ومراكز البيانات، والفرص التي تتيحها مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
وقال شاهين، في حديث لـ«عكاظ»، إن استثمارات شنايدر إلكتريك في المملكة خلال السنوات الثلاث الأخيرة تراوحت بين 200 و250 مليون ريال، وتركز جانب مهم منها على التوطين وتوطين الصناعة وزيادة القدرات الإنتاجية المحلية.
وأوضح أن الشركة، التي يمتد حضورها في السوق السعودية لنحو 45 عاماً، أضافت أكثر من 20 منتجاً يتم تصنيعها بالكامل داخل المملكة وتحمل علامة «صنع في السعودية»، بعد أن كان تصنيع هذه المنتجات يتم خارج المملكة.
وأضاف أن شنايدر إلكتريك عززت بنيتها الصناعية بإضافة نحو 20 خط إنتاج جديداً خلال السنوات الثلاث الماضية في منشآتها الصناعية في الرياض والدمام، بما يدعم زيادة المحتوى المحلي وتوسيع قدرات التصنيع داخل المملكة.
وأكد شاهين أن السوق السعودية تمثل سوقاً إستراتيجية لشنايدر إلكتريك، مشيراً إلى أن الشركة تواصل تطوير قدراتها المحلية للاستجابة للطلب المتنامي ودعم احتياجات المشروعات والقطاعات الحيوية في المملكة.
الاستحواذ على «الميسان للخدمات الفنية» يعزز القدرات الهندسية المحلية
وتطرق شاهين إلى استحواذ شنايدر إلكتريك على شركة «الميسان للخدمات الفنية»، موضحاً أن الاستحواذ يعزز القدرات الهندسية والفنية للشركة في المملكة، ويدعم توجهها نحو تقديم حلول أكثر تكاملاً لعملائها.
وأوضح أن الاستحواذ يجمع بين خبرات شنايدر إلكتريك في إدارة الطاقة والتحكم والأتمتة، والقدرات والخبرات الهندسية والفنية التي تتمتع بها «الميسان للخدمات الفنية»، بما يمكّن شنايدر إلكتريك من توسيع نطاق ما تقدمه للعملاء والجمع بين المنتجات والتقنيات والخدمات الهندسية والتنفيذ ضمن منظومة متكاملة.
وأشار إلى أن هذه الخطوة تعزز قدرة شنايدر إلكتريك على الانتقال من تقديم المنتجات والتقنيات إلى توفير حلول أكثر شمولاً تلبي الاحتياجات المتنامية للمشروعات والعملاء في المملكة.
حلول متكاملة للمباني الذكية
وأوضح شاهين أن هذا التكامل يكتسب أهمية خاصة في قطاع المباني، إذ يدعم تقديم حلول متكاملة تشمل الفنادق والمستشفيات والمباني الإدارية والمكتبية والمنازل الذكية.
وأشار إلى أن الجمع بين الأنظمة الهندسية ومنتجات وحلول شنايدر إلكتريك يتيح تطوير منظومة أكثر تكاملاً للمباني، تساعد على رفع كفاءة التشغيل، وتعزيز الاعتمادية، وتحسين إدارة واستهلاك الطاقة.
ويتيح ذلك للعملاء الاستفادة من خبرات متكاملة تجمع بين التكنولوجيا والهندسة والتنفيذ، بما يدعم التحول نحو مبانٍ أكثر ذكاءً وكفاءة في استخدام الطاقة.
مراكز البيانات تقود فرص النمو الجديدة
وحول آفاق السوق السعودية، أكد شاهين تفاؤل شنايدر إلكتريك بالسنوات الخمس المقبلة، في ظل استمرار تنفيذ برامج ومشروعات رؤية السعودية 2030 والتوسع في البنية التحتية الرقمية.
وأشار إلى أن مراكز البيانات تمثل أحد أبرز مجالات النمو، مع زيادة الاستثمارات الموجهة إلى تطوير البنية التحتية والقدرات الرقمية في المملكة، لافتاً إلى خبرات شنايدر إلكتريك العالمية في توفير حلول البنية التحتية وإدارة الطاقة لمراكز البيانات.
كما أشار إلى أن المشروعات والاستثمارات المرتبطة باستضافة المملكة إكسبو 2030 وكأس العالم 2034 ستوفر فرصاً إضافية أمام قطاعات البنية التحتية والطاقة والمباني والتقنيات الرقمية، ما يعزز ثقة الشركة في استمرار نمو السوق السعودية خلال المرحلة المقبلة.
الذكاء الاصطناعي والأتمتة لرفع كفاءة الطاقة
وحول الدور المتزايد للذكاء الاصطناعي، أوضح شاهين أن الذكاء الاصطناعي والأتمتة وإدارة الطاقة أصبحت عناصر أكثر ترابطاً، في ظل الدور الذي تلعبه التقنيات الحديثة في مساعدة المنشآت على تحسين عملياتها ورفع مستويات الكفاءة.
وأشار إلى أن توظيف الأتمتة والتقنيات الذكية يسهم في توفير الوقت وخفض التكاليف وتقليل استهلاك الطاقة ورفع الكفاءة التشغيلية.
وأضاف أن تحسين كفاءة استهلاك الكهرباء والطاقة ينعكس كذلك على خفض انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون، ما يعزز أهمية الرقمنة والأتمتة في مساعدة المصانع والمباني ومراكز البيانات على تحقيق أهداف الكفاءة والاستدامة.
وأكد شاهين أن شنايدر إلكتريك تواصل البناء على حضورها الممتد في المملكة، والاستثمار في التصنيع والقدرات المحلية، بالتوازي مع توسيع منظومة حلولها وخبراتها الهندسية، للاستفادة من فرص النمو التي تشهدها السوق السعودية ودعم التحول في قطاعات الطاقة والبنية التحتية والرقمنة، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
Engineer Mohamed Shaheen, CEO of Schneider Electric in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Yemen, and Bahrain, confirmed that the company continues to enhance its investments and manufacturing and engineering capabilities in the Kingdom, benefiting from the accelerated growth in the energy, infrastructure, smart buildings, and data centers sectors, as well as the opportunities provided by the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
Shaheen stated in an interview with “Okaz” that Schneider Electric’s investments in the Kingdom over the past three years ranged between 200 and 250 million riyals, with a significant focus on localization and increasing local production capabilities.
He explained that the company, which has been present in the Saudi market for nearly 45 years, has added more than 20 products that are fully manufactured within the Kingdom and carry the “Made in Saudi Arabia” label, after previously being manufactured outside the Kingdom.
He added that Schneider Electric has strengthened its industrial base by adding about 20 new production lines over the past three years in its industrial facilities in Riyadh and Dammam, supporting an increase in local content and expanding manufacturing capabilities within the Kingdom.
Shaheen confirmed that the Saudi market represents a strategic market for Schneider Electric, noting that the company continues to develop its local capabilities to respond to the growing demand and support the needs of vital projects and sectors in the Kingdom.
The acquisition of “Al-Maysan Technical Services” enhances local engineering capabilities
Shaheen addressed Schneider Electric’s acquisition of “Al-Maysan Technical Services,” explaining that the acquisition enhances the company’s engineering and technical capabilities in the Kingdom and supports its direction towards providing more integrated solutions for its clients.
He clarified that the acquisition combines Schneider Electric’s expertise in energy management, control, and automation with the engineering and technical capabilities of “Al-Maysan Technical Services,” enabling Schneider Electric to expand the range of offerings to clients and integrate products, technologies, engineering services, and implementation within a comprehensive system.
He pointed out that this step enhances Schneider Electric’s ability to transition from providing products and technologies to offering more comprehensive solutions that meet the growing needs of projects and clients in the Kingdom.
Integrated solutions for smart buildings
Shaheen explained that this integration is particularly important in the building sector, as it supports the provision of integrated solutions that include hotels, hospitals, administrative and office buildings, and smart homes.
He noted that the combination of engineering systems and Schneider Electric’s products and solutions allows for the development of a more integrated system for buildings, which helps improve operational efficiency, enhance reliability, and optimize energy management and consumption.
This enables clients to benefit from integrated expertise that combines technology, engineering, and implementation, supporting the transition to smarter buildings and more energy-efficient solutions.
Data centers lead new growth opportunities
Regarding the prospects of the Saudi market, Shaheen confirmed Schneider Electric’s optimism for the next five years, given the continued implementation of the programs and projects of Saudi Vision 2030 and the expansion of digital infrastructure.
He pointed out that data centers represent one of the most prominent areas of growth, with increased investments directed towards developing infrastructure and digital capabilities in the Kingdom, highlighting Schneider Electric’s global expertise in providing infrastructure and energy management solutions for data centers.
He also noted that the projects and investments associated with hosting Expo 2030 and the World Cup 2034 in the Kingdom will provide additional opportunities for the infrastructure, energy, buildings, and digital technologies sectors, enhancing the company’s confidence in the continued growth of the Saudi market in the upcoming phase.
Artificial intelligence and automation to enhance energy efficiency
Regarding the increasing role of artificial intelligence, Shaheen explained that artificial intelligence, automation, and energy management have become more interconnected, given the role that modern technologies play in helping facilities improve their operations and raise efficiency levels.
He noted that employing automation and smart technologies contributes to saving time, reducing costs, minimizing energy consumption, and enhancing operational efficiency.
He added that improving electricity and energy consumption efficiency also reflects on reducing carbon dioxide emissions, which underscores the importance of digitization and automation in helping factories, buildings, and data centers achieve efficiency and sustainability goals.
Shaheen confirmed that Schneider Electric continues to build on its extensive presence in the Kingdom and invest in manufacturing and local capabilities, alongside expanding its solutions and engineering expertise, to capitalize on the growth opportunities in the Saudi market and support the transformation in the energy, infrastructure, and digitization sectors, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
