Gold prices have recorded a sharp decline since the dawn of Thursday, incurring significant losses in a short period, amid a strong downward wave that hit precious metal markets.
The ounce of gold had touched its peak at dawn on Thursday at a level of $5,597.04, equivalent to about 674,443 Saudi riyals for the value of a kilogram of gold.
However, prices continued their sharp decline, later dropping by 21.37%, reaching $4,401.05 per ounce, which is equivalent to 530,327 riyals per kilogram.
Thus, a kilogram of gold has lost 144,117 riyals since dawn on Thursday, marking one of the largest rapid losses the yellow metal has witnessed, reflecting the severity of market fluctuations and the impact of global trading movements on prices.
These movements highlight the importance of closely monitoring gold prices, especially in light of the rapid fluctuations, which carry high risks for short-term traders.
