The bustling streets of Istanbul witnessed a terrifying nightmare that nearly ended in a bloody disaster, after the famous Turkish star Melisa Dongel, the heroine of the series “You Knock on My Door” and “Love from the Logic of Revenge,” found herself face to face with death following a brief argument over right of way, plunging into a state of extreme panic.
In the details of the incident that shocked the artistic and Turkish communities, Dongel was with her friend Mohammed Fathi Saruhan inside their vehicle on Qatar Street in the bustling Sariyer area, when a sudden traffic dispute erupted with another driver. It took only a few seconds for the situation to spiral out of control, as the driver aggressively stopped his car in the middle of the road and got out, angrily approaching the artist’s vehicle.
The situation escalated beyond mere verbal exchanges, as the driver pulled a firearm from his belt and aimed it directly at the artist, unleashing a torrent of terrifying threats in a breath-holding scene. However, the chaos on the street did not last long; as soon as the Turkish security forces were informed of the incident, specialized teams quickly moved to identify the perpetrator and apprehend him in record time, leading the Turkish court to later issue a decisive ruling to send him to prison, where he pays the price of his recklessness behind bars.
