Despite being completely away from the spotlight and cameras for years, the great and esteemed artist Adel Imam is still closely following everything that occupies the Egyptian and Arab street. The historic achievement of the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup is at the top of his interests, according to his son, the star Mohamed Imam, who spoke for the first time and surprisingly about the behind-the-scenes interaction of “the leader” with the Pharaohs’ World Cup journey.
The Leader’s Enthusiasm for “Hossam Hassan’s Pharaohs”
Mohamed Imam revealed a pleasant surprise for the audience, confirming that his father is very keen on watching the matches of the Egyptian national team led by coach Hossam Hassan, and he is living the World Cup atmosphere with great enthusiasm and passion, pointing to the following behind-the-scenes details:
- The moment of great joy: Mohamed Imam revealed that Egypt’s thrilling victory over New Zealand in the World Cup was one of the moments that brought indescribable joy and happiness to the leader’s heart.
- Pride and honor: He clarified that Adel Imam feels immense pride in what the Pharaohs are achieving in the current edition of the World Cup, and he passionately follows their results and group, just like millions of Egyptians who dream of continuing this historic achievement in the knockout stages.
Mohamed Imam’s fiery statements did not stop at the boundaries of the green rectangle and football; he also took the opportunity to definitively and categorically settle the ongoing debate and repeated concerns about his father’s health, following a wave of dark rumors that have haunted him due to his long absence.
He angrily confirmed to the rumor mongers that the leader is in very good health and mocks the lies, spending most of his current time with family members and grandchildren in a calm and happy family atmosphere, denying the validity of everything circulating on social media regarding his health crises. He explained that Adel Imam chose to distance himself from the noise of cameras entirely of his own free will, to enjoy his private life.
These exclusive statements came in conjunction with the intensifying competition of the summer cinematic season, where Mohamed Imam shines with his new film “Saqr and Kanarya,” which brings him together with star Chico in a blend of comedy, action, and suspense.
The film’s private screening drew significant attention after witnessing a rare family appearance of Adel Imam’s entire family, where director Rami Imam, Mohamed Imam’s wife and children, and several of the leader’s grandchildren were present, in a scene that received widespread and overwhelming interaction on social media, and the audience considered it a new message confirming the strength and cohesion of the most famous artistic family in the history of Egypt and the Arab world.
