أُعلن رسمياً عن إقامة حفل ميت غالا 2026 في الرابع من مايو القادم، في متحف متروبوليتان للفن بمدينة نيويورك، تحت ثيمة «فن الأزياء» (Costume Art)، التي تسلط الضوء على الأزياء بوصفها شكلاً من أشكال التعبير الفني.
ومن المتوقع أن يستكشف الحدث العلاقة بين الموضة والفنون البصرية، وكيف تحوّلت الأزياء عبر العقود إلى وسيط إبداعي يحمل دلالات ثقافية وجمالية تتجاوز البعد الوظيفي.
ويُعد «ميت غالا» من أبرز الفعاليات العالمية في عالم الموضة والفنون، إذ يجمع سنوياً نخبة من المصممين والفنانين والمشاهير للاحتفاء بثيمة فنية تُترجم إلى إطلالات استثنائية على السجادة الحمراء.
فن الأزياء Costume Art يركز على تحويل الملابس نفسها إلى شكل من أشكال الفن وتسليط الضوء على العلاقة بين الأزياء والجسد والفن التشكيلي عبر العصور. ويركز على استكشاف كيف يمكن للتصميم والخامة والتفاصيل أن تحكي قصة فنية وتجمع بين الإبداع والابتكار، ويستعرض تقنيات مختلفة من الماضي إلى المعاصر، ويعكس تفاعل الموضة مع الثقافة والفن بطريقة مبتكرة، ويشجع المصممين على التعبير عن أنفسهم بأسلوب يدمج بين الشكل والرسالة الفنية.
ويرأس الحفل كل من بيونسيه بعد غياب 10 سنوات عن السجادة الحمراء ونيكول كيدمان وفينوس ويليامز إلى جانب آنا وينتور.
ويستعرض المعرض علاقة الملابس بالجسد والفن عبر التاريخ من القدم إلى المعاصر ويستمر للجمهور من 10 مايو حتى 10 يناير ٢٠٢٧.

The event is expected to explore the relationship between fashion and the visual arts, and how clothing has transformed over the decades into a creative medium that carries cultural and aesthetic significance beyond its functional aspect.
The “Met Gala” is one of the most prominent global events in the world of fashion and arts, gathering annually a select group of designers, artists, and celebrities to celebrate an artistic theme translated into exceptional red carpet looks.
Costume Art focuses on transforming clothing itself into a form of art and highlighting the relationship between fashion, the body, and visual art throughout the ages. It emphasizes exploring how design, material, and details can tell an artistic story and combine creativity with innovation, showcasing various techniques from the past to the contemporary, reflecting the interaction of fashion with culture and art in an innovative way, and encouraging designers to express themselves in a style that merges form with artistic message.
The event will be chaired by Beyoncé after a 10-year absence from the red carpet, along with Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
The exhibition will showcase the relationship between clothing, the body, and art throughout history from ancient to contemporary and will be open to the public from May 10 to January 10, 2027.
