تستعد الممثلة الأمريكية ميغن ماركل زوجة الأمير البريطاني هاري، للظهور مجددًا على الشاشة الكبيرة بعد غياب دام سبع سنوات، في خطوة غير متوقعة أعادت اسمها إلى صدارة عناوين الصحافة الفنية العالمية.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام غربية أن ماركل بدأت بالفعل تصوير مشاهدها في فيلم كوميدي جديد بمدينة لوس أنجلِس، تؤدي فيه دورًا صغيرًا إلى جانب نجوم بارزين من بينهم الممثلة ليلي كولينز والممثل جاك كويد وبري لارسون وهنري غولدينغ.
وأوضحت مجلة «فارايتي» أن العمل يحمل عنوان «كلوس بورسونال فرندس»، وتدور أحداثه حول زوجين عاديين يلتقيان زوجين من المشاهير أثناء عطلة في سانتا باربرا، لتبدأ سلسلة من المواقف الكوميدية غير المتوقعة.
وتعد هذه المشاركة أول ظهور فني لميغن ماركل منذ مغادرتها عالم التمثيل عقب زواجها من الأمير هاري عام 2018، بعد أن اشتهرت بدورها في المسلسل الشهير «سوتس» الذي استمر سبعة مواسم متتالية.
وكان الزوجان قد انتقلا إلى كاليفورنيا عام 2020 بعد تخليهما عن مهماتهما الملكية وحرمانهما من التمويل الملكي، ليبدآ حياة جديدة في عالم الإعلام، حيث وقعا صفقة ضخمة مع نتفليكس تجاوزت قيمتها مئة مليون دولار، وأنتجا من خلالها سلسلة وثائقية بعنوان «هاري أند ميغن» وأخرى تحت اسم «ويذ لاف، ميغن».
The American actress Meghan Markle, wife of British Prince Harry, is preparing to appear on the big screen again after a seven-year absence, in an unexpected move that has brought her name back to the forefront of global entertainment headlines.
Western media reported that Markle has already begun filming her scenes in a new comedy film in Los Angeles, where she plays a small role alongside prominent stars including actress Lily Collins, actor Jack Quaid, Brie Larson, and Henry Golding.
Variety magazine explained that the project is titled “Close Personal Friends,” and it revolves around an ordinary couple who meet a pair of celebrities while on vacation in Santa Barbara, leading to a series of unexpected comedic situations.
This participation marks Meghan Markle’s first artistic appearance since leaving the acting world after her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, after she gained fame for her role in the popular series “Suits,” which ran for seven consecutive seasons.
The couple moved to California in 2020 after stepping back from their royal duties and being stripped of royal funding, to start a new life in the media world, where they signed a massive deal with Netflix worth over one hundred million dollars, producing a documentary series titled “Harry & Meghan” and another under the name “With Love, Meghan.”
