أعلنت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني الكويتية، تقديمها رسالة احتجاج رسمية إلى منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي (إيكاو) وذلك على خلفية الانتهاكات الجسيمة والاعتداءات الإيرانية التي طالت سيادة الدولة على أجوائها ومرافق مطار الكويت الدولي.
انتهاك صارخ
وأضافت الهيئة في بيان لوكالة الأنباء الكويتية (كونا) أن هذه الاعتداءات تعد انتهاكا صارخا للمواثيق والاتفاقيات الدولية المنظمة للطيران المدني حيث عرضت سلامة الركاب وشركات الطيران والعاملين في مطار الكويت الدولي إضافة إلى منشآت مطار الكويت الدولي لمخاطر جسيمة.
وذكرت أن هذه الأحداث أدت إلى اضطراب حركة الملاحة الجوية ما استدعى وقف رحلات الطيران كافة وتسبب في خسائر مادية كبيرة لقطاع الطيران المدني وإصابات بشرية إضافة إلى تعريض أمن وسلامة الركاب والمنشآت للخطر.
ضمان الحماية
وأكدت الهيئة في رسالتها الرسمية أهمية اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة من قبل منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي لضمان حماية المجال الجوي والمنشآت المدنية ومنع تكرار مثل هذه الانتهاكات بما يكفل سلامة وأمن الطيران المدني وسيادة دولة الكويت على أجوائها والمباني والمنشآت التابعة لمطار الكويت الدولي وفقا للمعايير الدولية. وركزت على احتفاظ دولة الكويت بكامل حقوقها القانونية في اتخاذ ما يلزم من إجراءات لحماية أمنها ومرافقها.
The Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority announced that it has submitted an official protest letter to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in light of the serious violations and Iranian assaults that have affected the state’s sovereignty over its airspace and the facilities of Kuwait International Airport.
Flagrant Violation
The authority added in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that these assaults represent a flagrant violation of international civil aviation charters and agreements, as they have exposed the safety of passengers, airlines, and workers at Kuwait International Airport, in addition to the airport facilities, to serious risks.
It mentioned that these incidents have led to disruptions in air traffic, necessitating the suspension of all flights and causing significant financial losses to the civil aviation sector, as well as human injuries, in addition to endangering the security and safety of passengers and facilities.
Ensuring Protection
The authority emphasized in its official letter the importance of taking necessary measures by the International Civil Aviation Organization to ensure the protection of airspace and civil facilities and to prevent the recurrence of such violations, ensuring the safety and security of civil aviation and the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait over its airspace and the buildings and facilities of Kuwait International Airport in accordance with international standards. It stressed that the State of Kuwait retains all its legal rights to take necessary measures to protect its security and facilities.
