Yakhour attributed his tears and his heartfelt apology to his mother to the bitterness of absence and the forced estrangement imposed by life’s circumstances, revealing for the first time his inability to see or embrace her for more than three continuous years due to her distant residence in Canada, expressing his deep regret and feelings of inadequacy towards her throughout this period.
