The streets of the French capital, Paris, witnessed an unexpected shock after a casual interview between Lebanese journalist and global Canadian star Celine Dion turned into the talk of the hour on social media platforms, following a strange incident that revealed a surprise that astonished the Arab audience.

The situation began with a pleasant chat in which “the nightingale of France” expressed her great love for the Lebanese people and Eastern cuisine, specifically the dish “baba ghanoush,” before the journalist directly asked her about her knowledge of the Arab singing legend, the artist “Fairouz.”

However, the answer came like a thunderbolt, as Celine Dion denied knowing the “neighbor of the moon,” before asking spontaneously and humbly, “Should I listen to her?”

The journalist’s astonishment prompted her to quickly introduce the size and value of the Lebanese lyre, assuring the global star that Fairouz’s voice is “the most beautiful in the world right after yours.” This description sparked Dion’s curiosity significantly, as she repeated the name thoughtfully and promised to check out the albums of the legend of the East and explore her works immediately.

The spread of the clip caused a state of division and astonishment among Twitter users. While some were shocked by the lack of awareness of a global icon like Celine Dion regarding a name as significant as Fairouz, others considered that the differences in musical regions made the situation natural, turning this spontaneous moment into an unexpected bridge between Celine’s anticipated stage in France and the authenticity of the East.
