كشف الكاتب الصحفي المصري عماد الدين أديب كواليس مثيرة حول اختيار أبطال فيلم «حسن ومرقص»، مؤكداً أن الفنان الراحل محمود عبد العزيز كان المرشح الأول لمشاركة الفنان عادل إمام في بطولة العمل، قبل أن تتجدد الخلافات بين النجمين بسبب أزمة مسلسل «رأفت الهجان»، ليتم الاستقرار في النهاية على الفنان الراحل عمر الشريف.
محاولات للصلح
وأوضح أديب، في مقابلة مع الإعلامية لميس الحديدي، أنه بذل محاولات للصلح بين عادل إمام ومحمود عبد العزيز، ونجح بالفعل في تقريب وجهات النظر بينهما خلال وجودهما في «مهرجان كان السينمائي»، إلا أن الخلاف عاد مجدداً بعد إعادة فتح ملف «رأفت الهجان».
كما قال عماد الدين أديب إن محمود عبد العزيز كان الاختيار الأول للمشاركة في بطولة «حسن ومرقص» أمام عادل إمام، مشيراً إلى أن العلاقة بين النجمين شهدت في البداية محاولات للتقريب بينهما.
وأضاف: «كان الأول محمود عبد العزيز سيكون شريك عادل، وبعدين محمود عبد العزيز قصة طويلة جداً، اختلفوا بعد ما كنت خلاص نجحت إني في مهرجان»كان«قعّدتهم مع بعض وصالحتهم».
في حين، أوضح أن الخلاف تجدّد بسبب الحديث عن شخصية «رأفت الهجان»، وهو الدور الذي ارتبط بمحمود عبد العزيز في المسلسل الشهير، بينما كان هناك حديث سابق عن تقديم عادل إمام للشخصية.
ملف رأفت الهجان
وأشار أديب الى أن إعادة ملف «رأفت الهجان» إلى الواجهة جدّدت الخلاف بين عادل إمام ومحمود عبد العزيز، لتنتهي فكرة اجتماعهما في بطولة الفيلم.
وقال إن عادل إمام أبلغه وقتها: «شفت ده راجل كذا، أنا مش ممكن أشتغل معاه»، في حين أكد محمود عبد العزيز بدوره: «وأنا مش عايز أشتغل معاه».
لكن بعد تعذّر الاتفاق على مشاركة محمود عبد العزيز، عاد أديب الى البحث مع عادل إمام عن نجم آخر يستطيع تحقيق التكافؤ المطلوب في البطولة.
اقتراح أسماء
كذلك، كشف عماد الدين أديب أن عادل إمام طرح مجموعة من الأسماء للمشاركة في الفيلم، لكنه رأى أنها لا تحقق التوازن المطلوب أمامه، مؤكداً أن طبيعة الفيلم كانت تتطلب وجود نجم كبير. إذ قال: «اقترح مجموعة أسماء كلها أقل كتير جداً من الأستاذ محمود عبد العزيز»، مشيراً إلى أنه تمسك بضرورة وجود حالة من التكافؤ بين بطلَي العمل، خصوصاً أن الفيلم قائم على شخصيتين تمثلان ديانتين مختلفتين.
وأضاف أن عادل إمام اقترح في النهاية اسم الفنان العالمي عمر الشريف، قائلاً: «أنا مفيش حد يوازيني أو في قيمتي غير عمر الشريف».
مكالمة واحدة
أما عن كيفية إقناع عمر الشريف بالمشاركة في الفيلم، أكد أديب أن الأمر لم يحتج إلى مفاوضات طويلة، موضحاً أنه اكتفى بالاتصال به ودعوته إلى المكتب، حيث قال: «كلّمته، على الهواء، على التليفون، قلت له تعال لنا المكتب دلوقتي». وأشار إلى أن عمر الشريف حضر بالفعل، والتقى بعادل إمام، ليتم الاتفاق على مشاركته في الفيلم سريعاً.
وأضاف أديب أن اللقاء الأول بين النجمين شهد أجواء ودّية، قائلاً: «جه دخل شافه، أحضان قبلات، قلت له: ده خلاص ده شريكك في الفيلم».
The Egyptian journalist Emad El-Din Adeeb revealed intriguing details about the selection of the stars for the film “Hassan and Morcos,” confirming that the late artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz was the first candidate to co-star with Adel Imam in the film, before renewed disagreements arose between the two stars due to the crisis surrounding the series “Raafat El-Hagan,” ultimately leading to the decision to cast the late actor Omar Sharif instead.
Attempts at Reconciliation
Adeeb explained, in an interview with the media personality Lamis El-Hadidy, that he made attempts to reconcile Adel Imam and Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, and he indeed succeeded in bridging their differences while they were both at the “Cannes Film Festival.” However, the disagreement resurfaced after reopening the file on “Raafat El-Hagan.”
He also stated that Mahmoud Abdel Aziz was the first choice to star alongside Adel Imam in “Hassan and Morcos,” noting that the relationship between the two stars initially saw attempts to bring them closer together.
He added: “Initially, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz was supposed to be Adel’s partner, but then Mahmoud Abdel Aziz is a very long story; they disagreed after I had successfully brought them together at the Cannes Festival and reconciled them.”
Meanwhile, he clarified that the disagreement reignited due to discussions about the character “Raafat El-Hagan,” a role that became associated with Mahmoud Abdel Aziz in the famous series, while there had previously been talk of Adel Imam portraying the character.
The Raafat El-Hagan File
Adeeb pointed out that bringing the “Raafat El-Hagan” file back into the spotlight renewed the conflict between Adel Imam and Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, leading to the end of the idea of them co-starring in the film.
He said that Adel Imam told him at the time: “I saw that guy, I can’t work with him,” while Mahmoud Abdel Aziz confirmed: “And I don’t want to work with him either.”
However, after failing to reach an agreement for Mahmoud Abdel Aziz’s participation, Adeeb returned to discuss with Adel Imam about finding another star who could achieve the required balance in the lead role.
Proposing Names
Additionally, Emad El-Din Adeeb revealed that Adel Imam suggested a number of names for participation in the film, but he felt they did not achieve the necessary balance against him, emphasizing that the nature of the film required a big star. He said: “He proposed a group of names that are all much less than the esteemed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz,” pointing out that he insisted on the necessity of having a sense of parity between the two leads, especially since the film is based on two characters representing different religions.
Adeeb added that in the end, Adel Imam suggested the name of the international artist Omar Sharif, saying: “There is no one who can match me or is of my caliber other than Omar Sharif.”
One Call
As for how he convinced Omar Sharif to participate in the film, Adeeb confirmed that it did not require lengthy negotiations, explaining that he simply called him and invited him to the office, where he said: “I called him live on the phone, I told him to come to our office right now.” He noted that Omar Sharif indeed attended and met with Adel Imam, leading to a quick agreement on his participation in the film.
Adeeb added that the first meeting between the two stars was friendly, saying: “He came in, saw him, hugs and kisses, I told him: this is your partner in the film.”
