وفي المملكة العربية السعودية، تحوّل التصوير، خلال السنوات الأخيرة، إلى لغة إبداعية تعكس التحول الثقافي الذي تعيشه البلاد. ومع انطلاق رؤية السعودية 2030، أصبح التصوير جزءًا من صناعة متنامية تدعم السياحة والترفيه والثقافة، وتفتح أمام المصورين السعوديين أبواب المنافسة العالمية. فالتنوع الجغرافي الهائل -من جبال العلا الشاهقة، إلى شواطئ البحر الأحمر البكر، مرورًا بطبيعة عسير الخضراء ومباني الدرعية الطينية- منح العدسة السعودية مادة لا تنضب، وجعل المملكة واحدة من أكثر البيئات إلهامًا للمصورين.
ولم يعد المصور السعودي يكتفي بتوثيق الداخل، بل أصبح سفيرًا بصريًا يحمل ثقافة بلاده إلى العالم، ويشارك في مسابقات دولية مرموقة، محققًا حضورًا لافتًا في تصوير الطبيعة والتوثيق البصري. ومع انتشار منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، نجحت العدسة السعودية في إعادة تشكيل الصورة الذهنية عن المملكة، مقدمةً وجهًا نابضًا بالحياة والإبداع.
وتواصل هيئة الفنون البصرية دورها في بناء مشهد فني متكامل، عبر برامج ومبادرات تهدف إلى تمكين الممارسين وتطوير البنية التحتية لقطاع الفنون البصرية، واستحداث فرص محلية ودولية للمواهب السعودية. فالهيئة تعمل على خلق بيئة فنية حيوية تتيح التعاون والإنتاج والابتكار، وتدعم تنوع الممارسات الفنية من الرسم والنحت والتصوير الفوتوغرافي إلى الفنون الرقمية والوسائط المتعددة.
وتؤكد الهيئة أن الفنون البصرية ليست مجرد ممارسة جمالية، بل عنصر أساسي في تشكيل الثقافة السعودية، بما تحمله من قيم تعبيرية وفكرية. ومن بين جهودها في دعم التصوير الفوتوغرافي، تأتي جائزة المملكة للتصوير الفوتوغرافي التي تحتفي بالمصورين والمصورات وتمنحهم منصة تعزز حضورهم في المشهد الإبداعي.
وتستند الهيئة في عملها إلى ركائز إستراتيجية تشمل دعم الابتكار، وتنمية المواهب مدى الحياة، وتطوير البنية التحتية، وتحفيز الفرص، وتعزيز التواصل مع المهتمين بالفنون البصرية، بما يضمن استدامة القطاع وتطوره على المدى البعيد.
وفي هذا اليوم العالمي للتصوير، تتجدد رسالة العدسة: أن الصورة ليست مجرد توثيق، بل حكاية تُروى، وذاكرة تُحفظ، ولغة تتجاوز الكلمات لتقول ما يعجز عنه الكلام.

The immense geographical diversity—from the towering Al-Ula mountains to the pristine beaches of the Red Sea, passing through the green nature of Asir and the mud buildings of Diriyah—has provided Saudi lenses with an inexhaustible source of material, making the Kingdom one of the most inspiring environments for photographers.
The Saudi photographer is no longer content with documenting the interior; they have become a visual ambassador carrying their country’s culture to the world, participating in prestigious international competitions, and making a remarkable presence in nature photography and visual documentation. With the spread of social media platforms, the Saudi lens has succeeded in reshaping the mental image of the Kingdom, presenting a vibrant face full of life and creativity.
The Visual Arts Authority continues its role in building a comprehensive artistic scene through programs and initiatives aimed at empowering practitioners and developing the infrastructure of the visual arts sector, creating local and international opportunities for Saudi talents. The authority works to create a vibrant artistic environment that allows for collaboration, production, and innovation, supporting the diversity of artistic practices from painting and sculpture to photography, digital arts, and multimedia.
