احتضن بيت الثقافة بالدمام (الإثنين)، جلسة حوارية بعنوان «الإعلام وحرية الصحافة في ضوء الأزمات»، نظمتها هيئة الصحفيين السعوديين بحاضرة الدمام، بحضور عدد من الإعلاميين والمهتمين بالشأن الإعلامي.
وشارك في الجلسة كلٌّ من الصحفي الأستاذ خالد الجناحي، والصحافي التلفزيوني الأستاذ طارق المزهود، فيما أدارها نائب مدير فرع الهيئة بحاضرة الدمام الأستاذ ناصر الشهري، حيث استعرض المتحدثان تجارب مهنية من الميدان، وتطرقا إلى أبرز التحديات التي تواجه العمل الإعلامي خلال الأزمات.
وناقشت الجلسة دور الإعلام في نقل الحقيقة، وأهمية الموازنة بين سرعة النشر ودقته، إلى جانب مسؤولية الإعلامي في ظل تسارع تدفق المعلومات وانتشار الشائعات.
وفي هذا السياق، أوضح مدير فرع هيئة الصحفيين السعوديين بحاضرة الدمام الأستاذ فيصل بن سعيد الزهراني، أن هذه الجلسة تأتي ضمن جهود الهيئة في تعزيز نشر المعرفة الإعلامية وتبادل الخبرات المهنية، بما يسهم في تطوير الممارسة الإعلامية ورفع مستوى الوعي لدى العاملين في القطاع والممارسين من مختلف القطاعات في المنطقة الشرقية.
وتناولت الجلسة عدة محاور، من أبرزها تأثير المنصات الرقمية على صناعة القرار الإعلامي، وحدود الشفافية في أوقات الأزمات، إضافة إلى التحديات المرتبطة بالمصداقية في ظل تطور تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
وشهدت الجلسة تفاعلاً من الحضور، الذين طرحوا عدداً من الأسئلة حول مستقبل الإعلام، وآليات تعزيز الثقة بين وسائل الإعلام والجمهور، في بيئة إعلامية متغيرة.
The House of Culture in Dammam hosted a dialogue session titled “Media and Press Freedom in Light of Crises” on Monday, organized by the Saudi Journalists Association in the Dammam region, attended by a number of journalists and media enthusiasts.
The session featured journalist Mr. Khalid Al-Junaibi and television journalist Mr. Tarek Al-Mazhoud, and was moderated by the Deputy Director of the Association’s branch in Dammam, Mr. Nasser Al-Shahri. The speakers shared professional experiences from the field and discussed the main challenges facing media work during crises.
The session discussed the role of media in conveying the truth, the importance of balancing speed and accuracy in publishing, as well as the responsibility of journalists in light of the rapid flow of information and the spread of rumors.
In this context, the Director of the Saudi Journalists Association’s branch in Dammam, Mr. Faisal bin Saeed Al-Zahrani, clarified that this session is part of the Association’s efforts to enhance media knowledge dissemination and exchange professional experiences, contributing to the development of media practice and raising awareness among workers in the sector and practitioners from various sectors in the Eastern Province.
The session addressed several key topics, including the impact of digital platforms on media decision-making, the limits of transparency during crises, and the challenges related to credibility in light of the advancement of artificial intelligence technologies.
The session witnessed interaction from the audience, who raised several questions about the future of media and ways to enhance trust between media outlets and the public in a changing media environment.
