أكد وزير المالية محمد الجدعان، أنه لا توجد نية لتغيير موقف المملكة الاستثماري في الولايات المتحدة.
وأوضح أن الاقتصاد الأمريكي يتمتع بقوة كبيرة، وأن الاستثمارات السعودية في السوق الأمريكية مستمرة دون تغيير.
الابتعاد عن التشويش
وبين الجدعان في مقابلة مع «العربية Business» على هامش فعاليات المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي 2026 في دافوس:” النقاشات مع الحكومة الأمريكية متواصلة لمتابعة تطورات الاتفاقيات المشتركة، لافتاً إلى أن لقاءه مع سكوت بيسنت يأتي في إطار النقاشات المستمرة مع وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية، وليس حدثاً منفصلاً.
وشدد وزير المالية على أن التحدي الأساسي يتمثل في الانشغال بالضجيج الإعلامي على حساب القضايا الجوهرية، مؤكداً أهمية التركيز على ما يمكن السيطرة عليه اقتصادياً، وضرورة الابتعاد عن التشويش الذي قد يؤثر في جودة القرارات.
توجيه الإنفاق
وفي ما يتعلق بالسياسات المالية، أكد الجدعان أن الاستدامة المالية لا تعني خفض الإنفاق، بل تعني توجيه الإنفاق نحو المشاريع القادرة على إحداث نقلة نوعية في الاقتصاد وتعزيز النمو طويل الأجل.
ونوه إلى أن خدمة الدين كنسبة من الإيرادات غير النفطية لا تزال ضمن مستويات منخفضة، مشيراً إلى أن إستراتيجية الدين العام تتضمن محددات واضحة لا يتم تجاوزها، بما يضمن الحفاظ على متانة الوضع المالي.
وذكر أن تجربة المملكة في الإصلاحات الاقتصادية والمالية تحمل دروساً مهمة للدول المشاركة في المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي في دافوس.
Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan confirmed that there is no intention to change the Kingdom’s investment stance in the United States.
He explained that the American economy enjoys great strength, and that Saudi investments in the American market continue unchanged.
Avoiding Distraction
Al-Jadaan stated in an interview with “Al Arabiya Business” on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos: “Discussions with the U.S. government are ongoing to follow up on the developments of the joint agreements,” noting that his meeting with Scott Piesen comes within the framework of continuous discussions with the U.S. Treasury Department, and is not a separate event.
The Finance Minister emphasized that the main challenge lies in being preoccupied with media noise at the expense of substantive issues, stressing the importance of focusing on what can be controlled economically, and the necessity of avoiding distractions that may affect the quality of decisions.
Directing Spending
Regarding fiscal policies, Al-Jadaan affirmed that financial sustainability does not mean reducing spending, but rather directing spending towards projects capable of making a qualitative leap in the economy and enhancing long-term growth.
He noted that debt service as a percentage of non-oil revenues remains at low levels, pointing out that the public debt strategy includes clear parameters that are not to be exceeded, ensuring the maintenance of a robust financial situation.
He mentioned that the Kingdom’s experience in economic and financial reforms carries important lessons for the countries participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
