فاجأت النجمة الأمريكية كيم كارداشيان، محكمة فرنسية بطلب تعويض مالي رمزي في واقعة السطو المسلح الذي تعرضت له بباريس في 2016.

وبحسب تقارير إعلامية، جاء الطلب عبر محاميتها ليونور هينيريك، التي أوضحت أن كارداشيان تجاوزت جانباً كبيراً من الأزمة النفسية المرتبطة بالحادثة، واختارت الاكتفاء بالتعويض الرمزي بقدر يورو واحد تجاه 4 من أفراد العصابة المتهمة بسرقة مجوهراتها، التي تجاوزت قيمتها 10 ملايين دولار.
قبول الاعتذار
وشهدت الجلسات تقديم رسالة من كارداشيان إلى زعيم العصابة، عمر آيت خداش، أكدت خلالها قبولها اعتذاره، مشيرة إلى أن الواقعة تركت تأثيراً كبيراً في حياتها رغم مرور السنوات.
أحكام مخففة
وأصدر القضاء الفرنسي أحكاماً مخففة بحق المتهمين؛ بسبب أوضاعهم الصحية وتقدمهم في السن، وأصدرت حكماً بالسجن على زعيم العصابة لمدة 8 سنوات، مع وقف تنفيذ جزء من العقوبة، دون إعادتهم إلى السجن مرة أخرى.
وفي القضية ذاتها، طالبت مصففة شعر كارداشيان، سيمون بريتر، بتعويض رمزي مماثل، بينما تقدم موظف استقبال الفندق عبدالرحمن واتيكي بطلب تعويض مالي كبير بعد معاناته من اضطرابات نفسية عقب الحادثة، إلى جانب مطالبة الفندق بتعويض عن الأضرار التي لحقت بسمعته.
ولا تزال غالبية المجوهرات المسروقة مفقودة حتى الآن، ومن بينها خاتم ألماسي قُدمت لكارداشيان من زوجها السابق كانييه ويست، وتُقدّر قيمته بملايين الدولارات.
ومن المنتظر أن تُصدر المحكمة الفرنسية حكمها النهائي بشأن التعويضات المدنية في سبتمبر المقبل.
The American star Kim Kardashian surprised a French court by requesting a symbolic financial compensation in relation to the armed robbery she experienced in Paris in 2016.
One Euro
According to media reports, the request was made through her lawyer Leonor Henrick, who explained that Kardashian has overcome a significant part of the psychological crisis associated with the incident and chose to settle for a symbolic compensation of one euro against four members of the gang accused of stealing her jewelry, which was valued at over 10 million dollars.
Acceptance of Apology
During the sessions, a letter from Kardashian to the gang leader, Omar Ait Khodash, was presented, in which she confirmed her acceptance of his apology, noting that the incident had a significant impact on her life despite the passing years.
Reduced Sentences
The French judiciary issued reduced sentences for the accused due to their health conditions and advanced age, sentencing the gang leader to 8 years in prison, with part of the sentence suspended, without sending them back to prison again.
In the same case, Kardashian’s hairstylist, Simon Britter, requested a similar symbolic compensation, while hotel receptionist Abdulrahman Watiki filed for a large financial compensation after suffering from psychological disorders following the incident, in addition to the hotel demanding compensation for the damage to its reputation.
The majority of the stolen jewelry remains missing to this day, including a diamond ring that was given to Kardashian by her ex-husband Kanye West, estimated to be worth millions of dollars.
The French court is expected to issue its final ruling regarding the civil compensations next September.
